Executive Team

Todd Hooper, CEO and Founder

Todd Hooper has over fourteen years of experience with networking and security technologies. In 1993, he co-founded Momentum Pty Ltd, an Internet security consultancy acquired by AlphaWest in 1996. From 1998 until 2001 Todd was Vice President of Business Development at WatchGuard Technologies Inc. In 2002, he co-founded Trillium Lane Labs, a developer of audio post-production software acquired by Avid Technology, Inc. in 2005. Most recently, he joined the founders of GraniteEdge Networks in 2004 to provide business development, marketing and product management for a large enterprise security product.

Chris Slatt, Chairman and Founder

Chris Slatt, Founder and former CEO of WatchGuard Technologies, Inc., has returned to the technology world after the successful launch of Starfire Sports, a world-class youth soccer non-profit based in Seattle. Prior to his work with Starfire Sports, Chris was instrumental in founding and growing WatchGuard Technologies from a startup through its IPO to an industry-leading provider of network security appliances worldwide. Before WatchGuard Technologies, Chris founded Networx, Inc., an enterprise network and systems management company that was later acquired by Legent (Computer Associates). Prior to starting Networx, Chris served as an executive for the Boeing Company, where he spearheaded computer systems projects for NASA and New York City's Con Edison. He also serves on the Board of Directors of VANTOS.

Chris Boscolo, Chief Technology Officer and Founder

Chris Boscolo has over twelve years of experience developing networking and security products.  As Co-founder, and CTO at Napera Networks, Chris leads the innovation and development of Napera Networks solutions. Prior to Napera, Chris was Chief Software Architect at WatchGuard Technologies where he pioneered cutting edge firewall and VPN technologies. While at WatchGuard, Chris managed the software development of the award winning Firebox, a Firewall/VPN appliance. He holds several patents in the field of network security.

Cary Kosher, Vice President of Worldwide Sales

Cary Kosher spearheads the Napera sales effort, bringing more than twenty years of industry experience including eleven in sales management positions. Most recently he was Regional Manager for Wireless sales at Cisco Systems, where he led the team responsible for the western U.S. and Canada. He has also held senior-level positions at Airespace, Polivec, Whitetree and 3Com Corporation. From 1997 through 2001 Cary was at WatchGuard Technologies, ultimately rising to the position of Senior Vice President of Sales/Americas. At WatchGuard he built, managed and developed all facets of the sales organization.

Keith Clements, Vice President of Operations

Keith Clements joined the Napera Networks executive team in December of 2007. He has twenty years experience in the networking sector, eleven of which involve network security technologies. During this time, Keith has built and managed technical support and operations organizations for five different corporations, including Digital Systems and Computer Associates. He was one of the original employees of WatchGuard Technologies in 1996. Over his ten year tenure at WatchGuard, he grew the operations team from three to over one hundred employees and built an annual services revenue stream of approximately $30M.

Margaret Dawson, Vice President of Marketing

Margaret Dawson brings 20 years of strategic communications experience in global markets and proven expertise in network security to Napera. Before joining Napera, Dawson led a product management team for two network security products at Microsoft Corporation and managed communications for the Forefront security product group. Prior to Microsoft, she held senior-level international communication roles at Amazon.com, Aventail Corporation, and The Weber Group/McCann Erickson. She founded and served as managing director of The Weber Group Taiwan, a branch office of the worldwide public relations agency. While based in the Greater China region, Dawson spent several years as a foreign correspondent for BusinessWeek Magazine.
