Napera Indigo beta wrapup
Thanks to everyone who responded to our call for Napera Indigo beta testers back in February.
We accepted 120 applicants out of the 600 submissions we received. Over a six week period, beta testers around the US deployed and tested Indigo units on their networks. Our online service processed info on more than 6000 network devices in the first few weeks. The testers completed 771 surveys to tell us what they liked and didn’t like, and the value they saw in the Indigo product. The feedback was very positive, informed, constructive, and incredibly valuable to us during product development. Thank again to all the beta testers from the team here at Napera.
One of the interesting data points that came out of the Indigo beta is the high number of companies having challenges keeping up to date with Windows patches. In week one of the beta test, testers reported 48% of Windows machines were out of date. By week two, they added more PC’s and the average climbed to an alarming 59%. It took many of the testers a couple of weeks just to get Windows Update under control before they moved on to resolving other health issues on their networks. Given the onslaught of updates from Microsoft in the last few Patch Tuesdays, this is a trend that isn’t going away.
For the folks that did not make it into the beta test, we’ll be announcing more news on the Napera product formerly known as Indigo during the summer. Stay tuned!
