Napera Insight Leverages Windows Security Technologies
Napera Insight leverages Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP), Microsoft's architecture for ensuring that computers are healthy and up to date, and Windows Security Center. Because Microsoft NAP and Windows Security Center are built into the Windows Operating System (Windows Vista and XP), administrators do not need to install software on end user computers to benefit from Napera Insight's endpoint health check. In addition, Napera provides a health agent for Mac OS X to enable health checks for Macintosh computers.
As a Microsoft NAP partner, Napera Insight was designed and developed in cooperation with Microsoft to make NAP easy to install, manage and support for every enterprise. By working directly with NAP, Napera Insight is compatible with nearly all anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions on the market (see Microsoft NAP Compatibility List).
Napera Insight allows organizations to centrally manage Windows Security Center enabled computers utilizing Microsoft NAP.
Napera Insight works seamlessly with the health settings in Windows Security Center, making sure end users have all security settings enabled and then uses the health reports from Microsoft NAP to make sure all security products and the operating system are up to date before gaining access.
Napera Insight Reduces Cost and Back-end Complexity
While Napera Insight uses the Microsoft NAP agent on the client side, it does not require installation of Windows Server 2008, saving time, complexity and money.
