The Last Piece of the Network Health Puzzle

With the news today that Windows XP Service Pack 3 has been released to manufacturing, the last piece of the network health puzzle falls into place for Windows users.

Why is XP SP3 so important? Because it includes the Microsoft Network Access Protection health agent first available in Windows Vista. In turn, the NAP agent enables Windows XP systems to report health over the network. Napera products leverage Microsoft’s NAP architecture for health information, and we can provide health diagnosis of Windows Vista, Mac OS X and now Windows XP systems on customer networks.

NAP Heroes

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said hello yesterday at the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 launch! On top of perfect 75 degree Californian weather, Chris, Liz and I had a great time talking with customers and press. Microsoft certainly pulled out all the stops with their ‘Heroes’ theme. There was a huge level of excitement around the launch and people were very receptive to our ideas on network health.

Napera and Microsoft

Today Napera is at the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 launch in sunny Los Angeles. There is lots of activity and announcements surrounding Microsoft’s NAP architecture. As I mentioned last week, this morning we announced our partnership with Microsoft and initial details of how Napera is directly integrating with the Microsoft NAP architecture.
